Arrow Electronics Expands Global Secure Provisioning for IoT Devices to Cypress, Infineon, and Microchip Silicon
Arrow Electronics has expanded its global secure provisioning service to include silicon from Cypress, Infineon, and Microchip, complementing the NXP Semiconductors Secure Elements already supported since the 2018 launch. This expansion enables rapid deployment of IoT edge nodes and gateways that incorporate hardware‑based security features. The enhanced service will be available to Arrow’s customers worldwide.
The programming and provisioning technology relies on a highly secure and reliable chain of trust. Arrow collaborates with leading domain experts in device security and Certificate Authorities, ensures secure transfer of customer IP and credentials, and utilizes hardened programming platforms. The solution also supports device‑certificate registration across multiple cloud service providers and offers comprehensive certificate lifecycle management.
Arrow delivers end‑to‑end security solutions that include cybersecurity. Secure provisioning is one component of Arrow’s extensive portfolio, which spans sensors, wireless connectivity, gateways, cloud platforms, data ingestion, aggregation, visualization, analytics, and security. The company’s service ecosystem covers ideation, design, integration, manufacturing, logistics, financing, billing, marketing, monitoring, managed services, and secure end‑of‑life disposal—an increasingly critical offering amid growing privacy legislation.
Arrow will showcase its secure provisioning services at Embedded World 2019.
