Midas Displays Launches Plug‑and‑Play HDMI TFT Modules for Raspberry Pi and Other SBCs
Display manufacturer Midas Displays has unveiled a new line of plug‑and‑play HDMI TFT display modules, available in 5.0”, 7.0”, and 10.1” sizes. Each module delivers exceptional brightness and contrast, thanks to high‑performance white LED backlights, and features a fully integrated interface PCB.
The modules come pre‑wired with a 40‑pin GPIO header and a standard 19‑pin Type‑A HDMI connector, allowing seamless connection to a Raspberry Pi single‑board computer. The same interface also supports a wide range of other SBCs, making the displays versatile for any external HDMI source.
Midas provides dedicated interconnect solutions to further simplify integration. A custom HDMI‑to‑HDMI board links the Raspberry Pi’s HDMI output to the display’s PCB, while a Type‑A USB to Micro‑B USB cable enables touch‑screen functionality.
All three models offer a 16:9 landscape aspect ratio and operate reliably across a broad temperature spectrum of –20 °C to +70 °C, ensuring performance in extreme environments.
For applications that require a graphical user interface, each module is available with either capacitive or resistive touch options. These compact, high‑optical‑performance displays are ideal for industrial equipment, embedded systems, and any application demanding a reliable, ready‑to‑use LCD monitor.
