Rugged CB71C COM Express Module Powered by AMD Ryzen Embedded V1000/R1000 SoCs

The CB71C is an ultra‑rugged COM Express module engineered for rail, public transportation, and industrial use cases—including data acquisition, infotainment, transcoding, and live 3D. It fully supports COM Express Type 6 pin‑out and meets the VITA 59 standard, guaranteeing robust mechanical design and reliable operation even in the harshest environments.

The CB71C harnesses the AMD Ryzen Embedded family, now offering both the Ryzen Embedded R1000 and V1000 SoCs. The R1000 brings a Radeon Vega graphics engine with three compute units and native support for up to three 4K displays without extra graphics hardware. The V1000 equips the module with up to four Zen cores, enabling powerful virtualization workloads.

Flexibility is at the core of the design: choose between a dual‑core R1000 or a quad‑core V1000, each delivering low power consumption with strong single‑thread performance and high‑clock multi‑thread capability.

Passive cooling is available on V1000 variants, operating from –40 °C to +85 °C. The module supports up to 32 GB of soldered DDR4 memory and 16 GB eMMC storage. High‑speed interfaces include PCIe 3.0, DDI (DP, eDP, HDMI), SATA 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB 3.0.

An integrated board‑management controller provides advanced monitoring, while a Trusted Platform Module and Secure Memory Encryption (SME) on the R1000 protect critical applications such as payment terminals, ticketing systems, fleet management, and monitoring.
