Abaco Launches Rugged NVP2102 XMC: 2.3 TFLOPS Peak Performance, CUDA & OpenCL Ready

Abaco Systems has unveiled the NVP2102, a high‑performance XMC graphics and video capture board engineered for rugged, mission‑critical environments. Powered by the NVIDIA Pascal P2000 GPU—768 CUDA cores and 4 GB GDDR5 memory—the board delivers an impressive 2.3 TFLOPS of peak performance while supporting both CUDA and OpenCL frameworks.

Designed for deployment on battlefield platforms where space, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints are paramount, the NVP2102 excels in applications such as situational awareness, signals intelligence, ISR, radar, and advanced machine‑learning workloads. Its parallel architecture makes it an ideal platform for GPGPU tasks including autonomous decision‑making and real‑time data analysis.

Key video capabilities include:

The board also provides hardware‑accelerated H.265 (HEVC) and H.264 (MPEG‑4 AVC) encode/decode, ensuring efficient video processing across a range of codecs.

Latency is minimized through a direct host‑computer interface and direct capture to GPU memory—critical for electronic‑warfare applications where milliseconds matter.

Meeting MIL‑STD‑810G, the NVP2102 operates reliably from –40 °C to +85 °C in a conduction‑cooled configuration and from –40 °C to +70 °C when air‑cooled, guaranteeing performance in extreme conditions.

Integration is further simplified by Abaco’s AXIS ImageFlex toolkit, which accelerates development of high‑performance image‑processing, visualization, and autonomy applications. AXIS ImageFlex supports OpenGL, OpenCL, CUDA, and OpenCV, enabling seamless GPU‑centric workflows on size‑and‑weight‑constrained platforms.
