Infineon Joins the Connectivity Standards Alliance Board to Accelerate IoT Open Standards
Infineon’s new role on the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) Board underscores its dedication to shaping the future of IoT through open, global standards. Leveraging its expertise in smart‑home and security technologies, the company will bring fresh leadership and insight to the Matter Working Group and the Alliance as a whole.
Munich, Germany & Davis, California – 18 November 2021 – The Connectivity Standards Alliance, a coalition of more than 400 companies that simplify and harmonize the Internet of Things (IoT) through shared standards, announced today that Infineon Technologies AG (FSE: IFX / OTCQX: IFNNY), a global leader in semiconductor solutions, will join the Alliance’s Board of Directors as a Promoter Member. Infineon’s representation will be Skip Ashton, a seasoned advocate for IoT standards who has held leadership positions with the Zigbee Alliance and Thread Group and currently serves as a Distinguished Engineer at Infineon.

Since joining CSA in 2020, Infineon has leveraged its global expertise in IoT and semiconductor technology across key Working Groups, including Matter, Zigbee, and Access Control. The company has been particularly active in shaping Matter, the new universal language for the smart home supported by over 200 global partners. Infineon’s Matter‑ready portfolio features AIROC™ Wi‑Fi® and PSoC™ 6 MCUs, AIROC Bluetooth® and the upcoming AIROC Bluetooth LE & 802.15.4.
