MALVERN, Pa. – Nov. 15, 2021 – Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) announces a new line of vPolyTan™ surface‑mount polymer tantalum capacitors engineered to deliver consistent performance under extreme temperature and humidity conditions.

The vPolyTan™ T50 series incorporates an enhanced hermetic design, ensuring superior protection in harsh environments. Devices support continuous operation up to +125 °C and have successfully passed 500‑hour temperature‑humidity bias (THB) testing at 85 °C, 85 % RH.

These specifications make the T50 series ideal for decoupling, smoothing, and filtering in demanding industrial, military, aerospace, and edge‑computing applications.

Available in the D case (EIA 7343‑30) format, the T50 series delivers ultra‑low ESR of 25 mΩ and a ripple current rating of 3.0 A. Capacitors span a wide range—10 µF to 330 µF—with voltage ratings from 2.5 V to 35 V and a tolerance of ±20 %. All units are RoHS‑compliant, halogen‑free, and meet Vishay Green standards.

Samples and production orders are currently available, with lead times of 12 to 14 weeks.
