EN GJS-1200-2 Austempered Cast Iron – High Strength & Ductility

Sort EN-GJS-1200-2, mat. No EN-JS1120 is a ferrous-carbon-based cast material that contains carbon predominantly in the form of spheroidal particles and that combines compared to the sort cast iron with nodular graphite (DIN EN 1563) higher strength and ductility properties by heat-treatment. Heat-treatment (austenite is usually transformed at a temperature between 250 and 400 °C in order to form a predominantly bainitc-ferritic structure) is an integral component of the production process.
