DIN 17200 Grade C55 Steel – Cold Shear Treated for Enhanced Wear Resistance

Steel C55 is suitable for higher strained parts in vehicle, engine and transmission manufacturing that require an enhanced wear resistance. Preferred application for parts undergoing a surface hardening lower risk of tearing for larger and complexer parts than C60 (e.g. transmission gear wheels, shafts, indented rollers). Lowest appplication temp. -25 °C.
