EN 12163 – CuCr1Zr R370: Premium Low‑Alloy Copper Alloy

CuCr1Zr, mat. No CW106C, is counted among hardenable, low alloyed copper alloys. To the comparable make CuCrZr, mat. No 2.1293, acc. to DIN 17666 : 1983-12 applies: The strength values of CuCrZr are more favorable than of CuCr especially at higher temperatures. CuCrZr shows the following properties: high strength at room temperature, high temperature for removal of workhardening, high creep strength, no notch sensitivity at increased temperatures. Temperature for removal of workhardening approximates 500°C. Favorable electrical and thermal conductivity. Processing properties: hot and cold forming: good machinability: moderately soft soldering: moderately hard soldering: moderately gas shielded welding: moderately burnishing: good Application: For live springs and contacts, electrodes for resistance welding.
