EN 10277-2 Grade C45 Steel – Rolled & Turned (+SH) for High-Performance Applications
Steel C45 is suitable for mean loaded parts in vehicle, engine and machine engineering (e.g. transmission shafts, gear wheels, clutch parts). Lowest application temperature -25 °C, favorable creep behaviour up to 480°C. As a bright steel product it is used in the form of bars, bright, straight, in various conditions (see DIN EN 10277 : 1999-10).
