EN 10269 X5CrNiMo17-12-2 Solution Annealed (+AT) – Premium Austenitic Steel for Chemical & Pharma Applications
Trademark X5CrNiMo17-12-2 is comparable to X 5 CrNiMo 17 12 2 acc. to DIN17440-85. This material is an austenitic CrNiMo-steel with increased resistance to non-oxidizing acids and halogenated media, to intercrystalline corrosion in delivery condition. It is suitable for mirror finishing and well cold formable. Application for acid-proof apparatus of chemical and pharmaceutical industry, cellulose, rubber, color, fatty acid, textile and viscose industry, petrochemistry, for articles of medical and photographic use, in sewage plants, at higher chloride-contents. Applicable in pressure vessel construction up to 300 °C, beyond it subject to authorization. X5CrNiMo17-12-2 is used in construction trade for highly corrosion-loaded components, (e.g. masonry anchorage in concrete, smokestacks, sanitary engineering, exterior facades, lifts). This Mo-alloyed stainless steel is approved for load-bearing components (Extended approval certificate no. Z-30.44.1 of Institut für Bautechnik Berlin, dated 1 February 1994). In this approval certificate are compiled demands on material, calculation, consruction and monitoring. Strength grades E 225, E355 are common. Further application for mounting elements at increased and low temperatures.
