EN 10222-5 X2CrNiN18-10 – Solution Annealed + AT: High‑Performance Austenitic Stainless Steel

The austenitic CrNi_steel X2CrNiN18-10 shows by N-alloying an increased yield stress which also persists at higher temperatures. This is used in pressure vessel construction and for leightweight constructions. Improved corrosion resistance due to the N-content. The material is also in sensitized condition resistant to intercrystalline corrosion. To the comparable trademark X 2 CrNiN 18 10 acc. to DIN 17440 : 1985-07 applies: the material is suitable for chemical apparatus engineering owing to its resistance to nitric acid and other oxidizing media. It is approved in pressure vessel construction up to 300 °C., above 300 °C. subject to authorization. The steel is well cold formable and suitable for mirror finishing. Excellent suitability for refrigeration up to -270 °C.due to its low temperature toughness.
