EN 10222-5 Grade X2CrNiMoN17-11-2 – Solution Annealed Steel with Enhanced Corrosion Resistance
Trademark X2CrNiMoN17-11-2 is a fully austenitic steel which shows higher strength and structural stability owing to N-addition. To the comparable DIN-make X 2 CrNiMoN 17 12 2 acc. to DIN 17440 : 1985-07 applies: increased pitting index by N-addition. Application in chemical apparatus engineering for pressure vessels, in cellulose, color, oil, soap and textile industry, in breweries and dairies. The steel is suitable for mirror finishing and corrosion resistant to selective attack particularly in welded condition. The material shows resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition.
