DIN 17658 Grade G-CuNi10 M: Superior Corrosion Resistance in Harsh Environments
G-CuNi10 possesses very good corrosion resistance to all kinds of water, like drinking water, river waters, brackish water, mining water, sea water, acids and ammoniac condensers as well as not-oxidizing diluted acids, alkaline solutions and salt solutions, organic acids and dry gases, like oxygen, chlorine, hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, sulfur dioxide, coal dioxide. The material does not possess sensitivity to stress corrosion and is well erosion and cavitation-steadily. The corrosion resistance is however somewhat worse than with the more highly Ni containing cast material G-CuNi30 (2.0835). The values for strength and heat resistance are lower than with theG-CuNi30 (2.0835) with approx.. 30 % Ni. Manufacturing properties: - casting bar: well - cutting property: caused - soft soldering: very well - braze welding: very well - gas fusion welding: badly - metal arc welding: very well - gas-schielded arc welding: very well - resistance welding: very well - polishing bar (mechanical.): well Application: The material is used in shipbuilding, building of paper-making machines, in the food and beverage industry, in power stations and in the chemical industry for fittings, armatures, pumps, measuring instruments, agitators, filling up organs etc..
