EN 10263-3 Grade Cq15: Annealed for Spheroidized Carbides – Optimal Performance
The cold-upsettable steel Cq 15 is suitable for the manufacture of screws, nuts and small parts (valve spring plates, bearing sleeves) used in automobile, motor and equipment construction and in general engineering. For lower requirements and smaller sections, carbon steel is sufficient if the requirements for strength increase and for larger dimensions, alloyed steel of sufficient hardenability must be used.
