EN 10216-5 Grade X5CrNi18-10 Solution Annealed (+AT) – High Corrosion Resistance Stainless Steel
X5CrNi18-10 as a standard type of the CrNi-steels is comparable to X 5 CrNi 18 10 acc. to DIN 17440 : 1985-07 (invalid). It shows high corrosion resistance but no resistance to intercrystalline corrosion in sensitized condition. It is resistant in delivery condition. The steel is well processable, suitable for mirror finishing and very good cold-workable. Application for welded parts in chemical apparatus engineering, food and milk industry, for household appliances, in breweries, in architecture and vehicle engineering as well as for pumps, compressors, fittings. Application in water and slightly contaminated sewages. Application temperature: -200 to 550 deg. (for the comparable DIN-mark). X5CrNi18-10 is used in construction trade for decorations in exterior and interior architecture, e.g. roof and wall elements, facings, washing facilities, washbasins, for doors and windows. This material is permitted for load-bearing components. This brand may be used as heat resistant steel acc. to DIN EN 10095 : 1999-05.
