DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.3210 T8: High-Strength Hardenable Alloy

This cold and hot hardenable material reaches mechanical properties from 200 to 250 MPa with A5-elongations at break of approx. 10 %. In warm and cold-hardened condition is this alloy only limited ductile, in the soft material condition however well. The Weldability, the corrosion resistance and the ability for anodising are good. However this alloy is used more for rivet or bolt joints, because of the destabilization arising within the welding seam range. Heat treatment for hardening: solution annealing: 525 to 540 °C, quenching on air or in water cold ageing: 5 to 8 d at ambient temperature hot ageing: 4 to 16 h at 155 to 190 °C Application: In the construction of vehicles for vehicle floors, bordwaende, stands, commercial motor vehicle superstructures of all kinds, trim. In the building industry for window, doors, window walls, shower cubicles, fences. In the building of rail-mounted vehicles for car boxes. In shipbuilding for sail masts, sail trees. In mechanical engineering (including building of forms) and for metal goods (e.g. building fittings, table-ware, flow pressed parts, reflectors).
