EN 10028-7 X2CrNi19-11 – Solution-Annealed Steel (Post-Annealing Treatment)
The austenitic steel X2CrNi19-11, a modification of 1.4301, shows due to the lowered C-content an increased resistance to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition. Application in chemical apparatus engineering and in pharmaceutical industry, especially for demands on high wall-thickness and concurrent suitability for mirror-polishing. In nuclear reactor engineering, for parts in food industry exposed to organic or fruit acids, in oil, soap and synthetic fibre industry. Generally up to pH-value 4,5 resistant in aggressive media that are poor in chloride. Approved for pressure vessel construction up to 300 °C, otherwise subject to authorization.
