ELIX Adds Two New ABS Filaments to Ultimaker Marketplace for Advanced FDM Printing

ELIX Polymers has expanded the Ultimaker Marketplace with two premium ABS filament grades, developed in partnership with 3R3D, Filoalfa (Ciceri de Mondel) and Print‑me.

The new materials, ELIX 3D‑FC and ELIX 3D‑HI, are available through the Ultimaker Material Alliance Program, which brings together leading manufacturers to create tailored FDM profiles.

ELIX 3D‑FC is certified for medical and food‑contact applications, meeting ISO 10993‑1 and USP Class VI biocompatibility standards for the entire material recipe—including pigments. It is offered in multiple colors.

ELIX 3D‑HI is a high‑impact ABS variant that delivers superior toughness at sub‑freezing temperatures while maintaining a lower density than conventional ABS. Its impact resistance rivals ABS/PC, making it ideal for lightweight automotive parts.

Both grades exhibit exceptional layer adhesion and print quality, enabling functional prototypes, assembly testing in automotive, medical tooling such as jigs and fixtures, and limited‑run custom parts.

During Hannover Messe in April, Ultimaker highlighted that the Material Alliance Program has already enabled more than 80 companies worldwide to develop FFF print profiles for industrial‑grade engineering materials, a goal achieved within a year of the program’s launch.
