Danimer Scientific Welcomes Packaging Pioneer Brad Rodgers as VP of Technology Development & R&D

Danimer Scientific, the bioplastics pioneer that recently solidified its market standing through a merger with Live Oak Acquisitions Corp., has announced the appointment of seasoned sustainability leader Brad Rodgers as vice‑president of technology development and R&D.

Rodgers brings more than 20 years of R&D leadership in sustainable packaging, most notably his 18‑year tenure at PepsiCo, where he advanced global packaging solutions that met stringent environmental targets. His expertise will help scale Danimer’s flagship Nodax PHA material to meet growing global demand for compostable and biodegradable packaging.

Chief science and technology officer Phil Van Trump said, “Brad played a pivotal role in identifying PHA as the optimal material for a compostable snack bag, a collaboration we launched with PepsiCo in 2018. His industry insight and network will be invaluable as we broaden Nodax’s applications.”

Rodgers also served three years on the Executive Committee of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition, a leading industry body that shapes global packaging sustainability policy.
