Veolia Water Secures Exclusive RCM Support Agreement with Industry Leader Anthony M. Smith

Veolia Water North America has announced an exclusive Reliability‑Centred Maintenance (RCM) support service agreement with Anthony “Mac” Smith, operating as AMS Associates. The partnership grants Veolia access to Smith’s three‑decade track record of successfully implementing the RCM process across more than 75 projects worldwide.

Through this collaboration, Veolia will expand its RCM methodology across its operations, enabling it to deliver safer, more cost‑effective water treatment solutions while strengthening asset‑management programs for its clients.

Smith is a globally recognized RCM authority, author of the industry‑standard books Reliability‑Centered Maintenance and RCM: Gateway to World‑Class Maintenance. His experience has helped utilities and industrial facilities reduce downtime and extend asset life.

“Veolia Water’s commitment to maintenance excellence aligns perfectly with the RCM philosophy,” said Smith. “I am excited to partner with Veolia to deepen its RCM capabilities and help the company continue to protect and optimize critical infrastructure.”

Veolia’s business strategy centers on providing world‑class maintenance programs that ensure asset reliability on a life‑cycle cost basis. Proper application of RCM is a cornerstone of that strategy, and the partnership will reinforce the success of these programs.

“We are thrilled to work with Mac Smith, whose expertise is unrivaled in RCM,” said Frank Benichou, Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Veolia Water North America. “Our track record of applying RCM across projects has been built on excellence, and this partnership further demonstrates our dedication to world‑class maintenance for our clients.”

Under the agreement, Smith will prioritise Veolia’s client base while continuing to accept select projects through AMS Associates that fall outside Veolia’s current business plan.
