Würth Elektronik eiSos Champions Innovation as Partner of the Digital Life Design Conference

Würth Elektronik eiSos partners with the highly regarded Digital Life Design (DLD) conference, a global platform that unites thought leaders and innovators across the full spectrum of digitization. Through this partnership, Würth Elektronik eiSos amplifies dialogue among industry pioneers, shaping the future of technology worldwide.

Since its inception in 2005, DLD has risen to become one of Europe’s premier innovation conferences, as noted by The Economist. Past editions have hosted luminaries such as Mark Zuckerberg, Eric Schmidt, and Paolo Coelho, and have taken place in cities including Munich, New York, Beijing, London, Moscow, Hong Kong, Tel Aviv, and Singapore.

For Würth Elektronik eiSos—an international manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical components—the alignment with DLD reinforces its corporate philosophy of continuous innovation and global impact.

At the DLD Future Conference in Munich on January 21, 2019, Alexander Gerfer moderated a panel on the future of 'Made in Germany' alongside Hans J. Langer (EOS Group) and Stefan Vilsmeier (Brainlab). The discussion followed German Federal Economics Minister Peter Altmaier’s keynote and highlighted the urgency of upgrading infrastructure and agility to sustain German manufacturing’s competitiveness. Gerfer emphasized how Würth Elektronik eiSos fosters out‑of‑the‑box thinking within its organization and supports startups in its ecosystem.

Beyond strategic partnerships, Würth Elektronik eiSos empowers developers worldwide. The company offers high‑quality components in small quantities, hands‑on design and EMC support, and active participation in industry committees and networks. Its focus areas include e‑mobility, the Internet of Things, and additive manufacturing.

In October 2018, Gerfer spoke at DLD Singapore about 3D printing and unveiled the new eiSos Competence Center in Berlin. He underscored that additive manufacturing will reshape traditional production methods over the next decade.

DLD—an acronym for Digital, Life, Design—explores how the digital era reshapes society, business, and culture. Since 2005, it has cultivated an interdisciplinary, globally connected community of change‑makers, earning recognition from The Economist as one of the continent’s two most influential innovation conferences.
