Microchip Technology unveiled the industry’s first pre‑provisioned secure‑key solution for low‑, mid‑, and high‑volume device deployments using the ATECC608A secure element. Their Trust Platform for the CryptoAuthentication family empowers companies of every size to integrate secure authentication with ease.

The Trust Platform is organized into three tiers—pre‑provisioned, pre‑configured, or fully customizable secure elements—giving developers the flexibility to select the level of integration that matches their design goals. The entry‑level TrustGO delivers zero‑touch, pre‑provisioned ATECC608A chips with a minimum order quantity of just ten units. Device credentials are pre‑programmed, sealed inside the chip, and ready for automated cloud or LoRaWAN onboarding. Matching certificates and public keys are supplied in a downloadable "manifest" file available through Microchip’s e‑commerce store and select distribution partners.

By eliminating months of development work and simplifying provisioning logistics, the solution enables mass‑market customers to secure and manage edge devices without the burden of third‑party provisioning services or external certificate authorities. It supports authentication to any public or private cloud and offers a high degree of customization via the TrustFLEX and TrustCUSTOM tiers.

TrustFLEX gives customers the freedom to use their own certificate authority while still benefiting from pre‑configured use cases—TLS‑hardened authentication for any IP‑based network, LoRaWAN support, secure boot, OTA updates, IP protection, user data protection, and key rotation. This reduces time and complexity without requiring new part numbers.

TrustCUSTOM provides full customization, allowing customers to specify credentials and configuration settings tailored to their unique security requirements.
