Kontron Launches VX305H-40G: 3U OpenVPX SBC with Xeon‑D, 40GbE Networking, and SOSA/CMOSS Compliance

Kontron has unveiled the VX305H‑40G, a 3U OpenVPX single‑board computer that builds on the proven VX305x line and the high‑I/O VX305C‑40G introduced in December 2018.

Designed to the VITA 65 “Compute Intensive SBC” profile (SLT3‑PAY‑1F1F2U1TU1T1U1T‑14.2.16), the VX305H‑40G delivers the raw processing power of a 12‑core Intel Xeon D‑1559 CPU, coupled with a 40 GbE data plane, an additional 10 GbE data plane, a 10 GbE control plane, and an eight‑lane PCIe Gen 3 expansion port. This combination satisfies the SOSA technical standard and is fully compliant with the U.S. Army’s CMOSS definition.
