Lanner Enhances Network Appliances with 2nd‑Gen Intel Xeon Scalable Processors
To meet the demanding workloads of network computing and data processing at the edge of the network and cloud datacenter, Lanner is integrating the server‑based 2nd‑generation Intel Xeon Scalable Family Processors into its flagship appliances—NCA‑6210, NCA‑5710, NCA‑5520 and FX‑3230. The new CPUs deliver higher turbo frequencies, integrated security features and unprecedented memory bandwidth, empowering Lanner’s solutions to excel in enterprise network security, intelligent video analytics, low‑latency communications and visual content delivery.
Lanner’s portfolio now includes a full range of 2nd‑Gen Intel Xeon‑powered platforms, offering 1U and 2U form factors, single‑ or dual‑socket CPU options, 4‑ or 8‑NIC modules, and expandable HDD bays. This versatility ensures that every deployment—from small edge nodes to large cloud‑centric data centers—has the right mix of performance and density.
The 2nd‑generation Intel Xeon Scalable Family supports up to 28 cores per processor, Intel AVX‑512 instructions and hardware‑based security via Intel QuickAssist Technology (Intel QAT). When paired with Intel C620 Series chipsets, these processors are tuned for data‑centric workloads such as visual content delivery, compression, and cryptography, achieving up to 4.4 GHz turbo boost and a total performance lift of 35% over the previous generation.
Memory capabilities are equally advanced. The new processors fully support DDR4 up to 2,933 MHz and introduce Intel Optane DC persistent memory, which blends large capacity, low‑latency persistence and high reliability to boost data‑intensive workloads.
In partnership with Intel, Lanner has verified the NCA‑6210 as an Intel Select Solution for Visual Cloud Content Delivery. This solution optimizes cloud‑based video transcoding and analytics, reduces latency for immersive media, and remains pin‑to‑pin compatible with its first‑generation predecessor—making it a seamless upgrade path for AR/VR and other next‑gen visual applications.
