ADLINK Joins ROS 2 Technical Steering Committee, Driving Edge AI and DDS Advancements
ADLINK Technology has joined the Open Robotics ROS 2 Technical Steering Committee (TSC), reinforcing its commitment to advancing the world’s premier open‑source platform for robotics.
As a TSC member, ADLINK is contributing to several key initiatives:
- Enhancing ROS Middleware (RMW) for greater flexibility and performance through advanced OMG DDS capabilities and industry best practices.
- Providing ROS 2 contributions to open‑source DDS implementations, including Vortex OpenSplice and Eclipse Cyclone DDS—critical for autonomous mobile robots.
- Collaborating with fellow members to form an Edge AI Working Group, leveraging ADLINK’s deep expertise in edge AI for machine vision.
The ROS 2 TSC, launched in September 2018, broadens participation in ROS 2 development and accelerates its delivery. Current members include ADLINK Technology, Amazon, Apex.AI, Arm, Bosch, Canonical, eProsima, Intel, LG Electronics, Microsoft, Open Robotics, ROBOTIS, Samsung, TARDEC, Tier IV, and the Toyota Research Institute.
