Honeywell Launches Intelligent Wearable System to Boost Plant Worker Efficiency

Honeywell’s latest hands‑free, wearable Connected Plant platform empowers industrial workers to carry out tasks more efficiently on site or in the field.

The Skills Insight Intelligent Wearables feature a head‑mounted visual display that responds to voice commands, bringing live data, documents, work procedures, and health & safety information directly into view.

Workers can also connect in real time with remote experts, assimilating skills and knowledge while on the job.

“This new Honeywell Connected Plant technology offers industrial workers the information they need when they need it, wherever they are,” said Youssef Mestari, program director of Honeywell Connected Plant. “That means workers carry with them decades of relevant expertise that is accessible at any time by simple voice activation. This makes this solution a particularly good fit for industrial workers who have an affinity for technology and who need more physical freedom to efficiently accomplish their work.”

Built on the latest advances in hands‑free mobile computing, augmented reality, IIoT, and mobility software, the solution pairs the RealWear HMT‑1Z1 wearable computer with Honeywell’s Movilizer platform—a cloud‑based workflow system that supports field service operations, especially in hazardous locations.
