DIN 1693‑1 GGG‑40 Cast Iron: High‑Performance, High‑Strain Material for Automotive, Marine, and Industrial Applications
GGG-40, a ferritic cast iron material with nodular cast iron for cast pieces for high performance with the mechanical treatment as well as for cast pieces with high strain at rupture and impact energy for static and dynamic loadings in the construction of vehicles, building of ships, in civil engineering, plastics processing, for pumps and compressors as well as for armatures, in the machine tool manufacture, mechanical engineering, energy mechanical engineering, in the casting industry. For engine bearings, articulated bearing, disk wheels, axles, transmission case, engine racks, front plates, lockcylinder, framework, pump housing, cylinder, impellers, chuck, stand for machine tools, transport and storage vessel, molding boxes, molds, rims, hydraulic housing etc.. The material is comparable to UNS F 32800 of the USA.
