DIN 5512-3 Grade X2CrNi12 Steel – High-Performance Rail Vehicle Material
The steel is used for rail vehicle engineering acc. to the selected standard DIN 5512-3. The corresponding properties of EN 10088 shall be taken. Application example: railcar body Remarks: Protective coating is well applicable and necessary under increased corrosion load and for decorative purposes. No spot welding connection with non-alloy steels. Increased weldability at higher thicknesses without ductility loss.
