EN 10269 Grade X4CrNi18-12 Strain-Hardened Steel (+C700) – Industrial Alloy for Corrosion Resistance

Trademark X4CrNi18-12 is comparable to X 5 CrNi 18 12 acc. to DIN 17440 : 1985-07. Application in chemical industry as well as for the production of screws, nuts and cold extrusion parts. In terms of its corrosion resistance there is no major difference to steel 1.4301 which is classified as highly corrosion resistant. Generally resistant in aggressive media that are poor in chloride up to pH-value 4.5. Resistance to intercrystalline corrosion only in delivery condition. This material is used in construction trade for fastening elements. Further application for mounting elements at increased and lower temperatures.
