EN 10088‑1 X2CrNiMo17‑12‑2 Strain‑Hardened Steel (+C700) – Superior Corrosion Resistance

Material X2CrNiMo17-12-2 is comparable to X 2 CrNiMo 17 13 2 acc. to DIN17440 : 1985-07. It is a modification of steel 1.4401 with high resistance to non oxidizing acids and chloride containing media. This steel is suitable for mirror finishing and very good cold formable. Its corrosion properties are still improved owing to the lowered C-content. The material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition. Application in apparatus engineering of the chemical industry as well as in cellulose, textile and pharmaceutical industry and in sewage plants.
