EN 10269 X2CrNiMo17-12-2 Strain-Hardened Steel (+C700) – High Corrosion Resistance & Superior Formability
Trademark X2CrNIMo17-12-2 is comparable to X 2 CrNiMo 17 13 2 acc. to DIN 17440-85. It is a modification of steel 1.4401 and it is a steel of high resistance to non-oxidizing acids and chloride-containing media. It is suitable for mirror finishing and very good cold formable. The corrosion properties are still improved by the lowered C-content. This material is resistant to intercrystalline corrosion also in sensitized condition. Application in chemical apparatus engineering as well as in cellulose, textile and pharmaceutical industry and in sewage plants. Approved for pressure vessel construction up to 400 °C, beyond it subject to authorization. Further application for mounting elements at increased and lower temperatures.
