EN 10028-7 Grade X2CrNi12 Soft Annealed Steel (+A) – High Corrosion Resistance & Strength
The material X2CrNi12 is an ferritic steel of considerably higher corrosion resistance than general construction steels, but more cost-efficient than high-alloyed stainless steels. The corrosion resistance is comparable to the one of 13% Cr-steels. X2CrNi12 is unsuitable for higher corrosion requirements. Beside its sufficient corrosion resistance and favorable abrasion resistance the steel shows high static and dynamic strength values and ease of workability. Its not resistant to intercrystalline corrosion. Application: in transportation (construction of busses and containers), in agrarian and conveying engineering, civil engineering, e.g. for frameworks and front elements as well as in the mechanical and apparatus engineering
