EN 10028-7 X3CrTi17 Soft-Annealed Steel – High Corrosion Resistance & Heat-Resistant Properties
The ferritic steel X3CrTi17 is comparable to 1.4016. It is widely resistant in water, steam low acids and bases as well as in oxidizing acids. Increased stress corrosion resistance in hot bases, low chloride-containing waters. No risk of intercrystalline corrosion after welding due to Ti-addition. Thereby the material is unusable for mirror-polishing. Resistance to intercrystalline corrosion is given also in welded condition. The grade is allowed to be used as heat-resistant steel acc. to DIN EN 10095. Application: for welded parts in washing machines (base tank) and in chemical apparatus engineering (low acids), in creamery, food, brewery, dyeing and soap industry
