DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.3207 T5 – Premium Aluminium Alloy for Electro-Technology

E-AlMgSi0,5 is ensured by the German electrotechnical commission as alloy for electro-technology according to DIN 40 501 part of 1 to part of 4. This cold and hothardenable material reaches mechanical strength in range of 200 to 250 MPa with A5-elongation at break of approx. 10 %. In hot and/or cold hardend state is this alloy only limited formable, in the soft material condition however well. Weldability, corrosion resistance and anodising ability of this material are good. Heat treatment for hardening: solution annealing: 525 to 540 °C, quenching on air or in water cold ageing: 5 to 8 d at ambient temperatures warm ageing: 4 to 16 h at 155 to 190 °C. Application: The alloy E-AlMgSi0,5 is used with priority for bus bars. Because of the good extruding bar of this material as flat -, profile or tubing bus bars. Electro-technology (bus bars)
