DIN 1725-1 Grade 3.3315 T6 – Premium Al‑Mg Alloy for Corrosion Resistance and Strength

The AlMg alloy is characterised all by a good corrosion resistance. It is sea water steady and resistant to saline atmosphere. The Mg content increase the strength, the cold forming capacity decreases with it. The alloys of this type are nature hard, i.e. only by a cold forming and not by a purposeful heat treatment a strength increase can be attained. The material is well polishabel and anodisable. The splinter-giving machinability becomes better with increasing Mg content just like the weldability. The alloy AlMg1 reaches strength grades to F 22. Application: Their main field of application is the building industry. In the building industry for claddings, roofing and trim, for transport containers. For metal goods, like building fittings, table-ware, flow pressed parts, reflectors. In food industry, for furniture (incl. camping furniture) as well as for describe and for covers with composite slabs (intermediate layer: Polyethylene).
