SAMPE UK & Ireland Announces Edinburgh Seminar: Expanding Reach & Innovation
The U.K. and Ireland chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE) will hold its annual seminar in Edinburgh, Scotland — the first time it has been held outside of England — on June 6, 2019. The change in location is meant to broaden the scope of the conference content as well as the experience for attendees.
The papers being presented provide information on a range of subjects featuring professional and student presenters from Scotland, the Netherlands, the United States, Ireland, England and more. Topics include thermoplastic composites, composites use in adverse environments, oil and gas, recycling, material properties of aerospace materials and benefits of bio-based, crossed lamellar, carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) microstructures.
A table-top exhibition will provide an opportunity to speak to the sponsors and suppliers, and a visit will be arranged to the University of Edinburgh’s engineering facilities after the conference.
