STMicroelectronics Unveils ST-MC-SUITE: One-Stop Digital Platform for STM32/STM8 Motor‑Control DesignSTMicroelectronics has launched ST‑MC‑SUITE, a single online hub that aggregates all resources for motor‑control development on STM32 and STM8 microcontrollers. Designers can now access step‑by‑step tutorials, comprehensive documentation, and the latest X‑CUBE‑MCSDK software package, while also ordering evaluation boards, motor‑control kits, and inverters directly through the portal. Project configurations—both hardware and software—can be saved and stored for future reference.

The search experience offers a generic search bar or a dynamic interface that refines results based on the user’s project description. Selected documents and videos can be bundled into a compressed ZIP file for convenient download.

Users may curate multiple project setups, adding firmware libraries, evaluation boards, and motor‑control components to each configuration. This feature lets designers compare alternative designs or manage several projects simultaneously.

The X‑CUBE‑MCSDK is the motor‑control software development kit that bundles firmware libraries, the STM32 Motor Control Workbench graphical configurator, and access to firmware examples, HAL and LL APIs. The current release, version 5.3, introduces support for the STM32G0 series and integrates FreeRTOS, according to ST.

Initially, ST‑MC‑SUITE targets brushless DC (BLDC) and permanent‑magnet synchronous motors (PMSM) controlled via field‑oriented control (FOC). ST plans to broaden the tool’s scope to include additional motor types and control schemes later in the year.
