EN 10088-1 X14CrMoS17 Strain-Hardened Steel (+C550) – High-Performance Cutting & Construction Applications

Material X14CrMoS17, comparable to X 12 CrMoS 17 acc. to DIN 17440 : 1985-07 is a stainless free cutting steel. Application in tempered condition as construction parts for machine processing, such as screws, nuts, fittings, axles, bolts, spindles in water, steam and alkalescent and neutral media as well as for magnetic valves. Corrosion resistance is due to sulphur addition equivalent to a 13 per cent Cr-steel. Application temperature -25 to 550 °C (for the comparable DIN-material) Welding is not common. No forming is designated.
