PolyFlex Expands North American Returnable Packaging Capacity in Michigan

PolyFlex, a premier division of the Nefab Group, has inaugurated its Wixom, Michigan campus—an advanced manufacturing and engineering hub for returnable plastic packaging and engineered protective shipping solutions serving automotive and advanced manufacturing sectors.

The campus spans roughly 137,600 square feet across two state‑of‑the‑art buildings. One facility is dedicated to injection molding for returnable plastic packaging, while the other focuses on engineered protective shipping materials that cushion, separate, and safeguard products throughout the supply chain.

Injection molding capabilities range from 125‑ to 2,600‑ton presses, enabling production from precision components to large‑format packaging and material‑handling systems. Together, the two facilities operate as a regional center that integrates design, tooling, injection molding, and engineered packaging production on a single campus, the company notes.

“Having design, tooling, and injection molding all on one campus lets us offer truly end‑to‑end service,” says Brian Finkel, Director of Operations at PolyFlex. “With press capacities up to 2,600 tons, we can handle precision components and large‑format systems while maintaining high quality and short lead times.”

The facility supports reusable packaging systems designed to boost transport efficiency and reduce reliance on expendable packaging, according to the company. Local production also strengthens supply‑chain resilience and cuts packaging waste for customers across the region.
