Ineos Styrolution Joins Cyclyx as Founding Member to Accelerate Plastic Recycling

The newest founding member to join the consortium‑based feedstock management company Cyclyx International—whose mission is to raise the recycling rate of plastic from 10 % to 90 %—is global styrenics supplier Ineos Styrolution. Richard Cuetos, vice‑president of Ineos Styrolution America’s standard products segment, will sit on the Cyclyx executive advisory board.

Ineos Styrolution has recently announced its global plastic pledge to advance a circular economy for plastic packaging. The company has launched a family of products—marketed under the Ineos Styrolution Eco brand—made from recycled post‑consumer plastic waste and renewable feedstocks. These offerings are engineered to match the performance of the existing portfolio while cutting greenhouse‑gas emissions and diverting post‑consumer waste from landfills.

As a Cyclyx executive advisory board member, Cuetos will help steer innovative advancements in plastic sustainability and circularity. Through its partnership, Ineos Styrolution gains access to Cyclyx’s integrated platform, which offers chemical characterization of plastics, predictive modelling of feed‑stock routes to product pathways, custom feed‑stock recipes, and tailored supply‑chain solutions. These tools empower the company to accelerate its sustainability objectives and deliver suitable waste‑plastic feedstock for both existing and emerging mechanical and advanced recycling technologies.
