Introducing Projects in Eiger: Organize Your 3D Printing Library with Ease

Both the Mark One and the newer Mark Two models come bundled with eiger.io, MarkForged’s cloud‑based 3D printing platform. Eiger is an all‑in‑one solution that streamlines every step of the print process—from browser‑based slicing with automatic fiber routing to a layer editor for fine‑grained control.

When you log in, the home page displays your parts library, a curated collection of all the STL files you’ve saved. The library remembers the exact specifications of your last print, including the amount of carbon fiber, Kevlar®, or fiberglass used per layer. This feature eliminates the need to re‑import a file each time you want to tweak settings and re‑print.

In recent weeks, our users have added more parts than we anticipated, which has made some library pages feel cluttered. To address this, we’re thrilled to announce the launch of Projects.

After refreshing your Eiger tab, a new New Project button appears at the top of the library page. Clicking it creates a project—a library item highlighted with a bright blue border.

Within a project, you can add parts using a searchable selector or by simply dragging and dropping onto the library page.

During internal testing, Projects dramatically reduced scroll‑fatigue and the “duplicate part import” issue that our engineering team frequently encountered. By grouping related parts, users find what they need faster and can streamline their workflow.

We’re excited to bring this enhanced organization to all Eiger users and will continue to roll out improvements that help MarkForged’s industrial‑strength 3D printing customers bring strong parts to life more efficiently.
