UC Irvine Extension Offers 3‑Day RCM Course to Boost Facility Reliability

In today’s fast‑paced global economy, plant and facilities managers must maximize uptime while minimizing maintenance costs. Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM) is a proven strategy that delivers exactly that.

The University of California, Irvine Extension is offering a concise three‑day course, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM): Planning, Design & Implementation, scheduled for Thursday, May 17 through Saturday, May 19, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Sessions will be held at the UCI Learning Center in Orange, California.

Instructor: Neil Bloom, B.S.M.E., brings more than 30 years of experience in RCM, having collaborated with the Federal Aviation Administration and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. He developed one of the most comprehensive RCM‑based preventive maintenance programs, analyzing over 125,000 components at a leading nuclear generating facility. Bloom is the author of Reliability Centered Maintenance – Implementation Made Simple (McGraw‑Hill) and has presented at top national and international forums, including EPRI, ASME, ANS, ANL, EEI, and the IAEA in Vienna.
