2011 Asset Management Awards: Celebrating Excellence in Asset Management

Asset owners, service providers, and organizations responsible for physical assets—along with their revenue, reliability, and safety outcomes—are invited to apply for the Asset Management Council’s 2011 Asset Management Awards.

Now in its 15th year, the Asset Management Awards remain the industry’s most respected benchmark for continuous improvement in asset management.

“The Awards process made us realise how far we had come in such a short time,” says 2010 Bronze recipient Richard Ravell, portfolio asset specialist at CS Energy Ltd. “It was a fitting reward for my team’s hard work.”

Silver winner Jeff Ware, operations manager at Windfarms, Transfield Services, added, “The on‑site review team’s expertise and on‑site feedback were invaluable. The Awards also provide a great forum for engaging frontline asset managers.”

The Council has refined its evaluation framework, tailoring timelines to fit each applicant’s schedule. On‑site reviews now span 1½ days, allowing a deeper assessment of an organization’s asset‑management approach—both during the visit and in the detailed report that follows.

Applicants may schedule their on‑site review at any time during the year, ensuring the process aligns with their operational calendar.

Each submission is evaluated against criteria derived from the Asset Management Body of Knowledge, which codifies industry‑standard definitions and technical models.

Download the intent‑to‑submit form from the Asset Management Council website; entries must be received by February 25, 2011.

Past recipients include Airservices Australia, Aurora Energy, BHP Billiton Iron Ore, EnergyAustralia, HMAS ANZAC, One Steel, Railcorp, United Group Rail, and Woodside Energy.
