Honeywell Secures APU Maintenance Contract with Allegiant Air

Allegiant Air has chosen Honeywell to deliver comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for its auxiliary power units (APUs) and select avionics components across its fleet of new Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft. The agreement also covers the replacement of existing APUs with Honeywell’s 131‑9A model.

"These upgrades simplify maintenance, increase reliability, and translate to fewer delays and a better overall passenger experience."

Honeywell’s 131‑9A APU is projected to lower maintenance costs, boost reliability, and deliver annual fuel savings of $7,000 to $13,000 per aircraft. The new unit also helps reduce flight delays and cancellations. Allegiant will receive direct support for APU and cockpit technology maintenance through Honeywell’s certified facilities.
