Skyworks Introduces Integrated 5‑GHz FEM for Wi‑Fi 6 Applications

Skyworks Introduces Integrated 5‑GHz FEM for Wi‑Fi 6 ApplicationsSkyworks has expanded its front‑end module (FEM) portfolio to meet the growing demands of retail, carrier, and enterprise Wi‑Fi 6 deployments with the launch of the SKY85772‑11—a fully integrated 5‑GHz FEM. The module combines a 5‑GHz transmit/receive switch, a low‑noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass, and a power amplifier (PA) into a single 3 × 3 mm, 16‑pin QFN package, delivering a compact solution for mobile, portable, and fixed 802.11ax devices.

Designed for access points, routers, and gateways, the SKY85772‑11 delivers best‑in‑class power and linearity. Its built‑in logarithmic power detector supports a wide dynamic power range, while FCC‑compliant harmonics reduce the need for additional filtering. According to Skyworks, the module offers a 2‑dB higher gain than system‑on‑chip (SoC) architectures, improving linearity and overall system performance.
