X2CrTiNb18 (1.4509) – Ferritic Chrome Steel with Superior Corrosion Resistance
The material 1.4509 is a ferritic chrome steel with good corrosion resistance with medium mechanical properties. In contrast to the austenitic stainless steels, this grade has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking, which is why it is mainly used in exhaust systems.
