EN 10272 Grade X2CrNiMoN17-13-3 – Solution-Annealed Stainless Steel for High-Performance Pressure Vessels
Steel grade X2CrNiMo17-13-3 acc. to DIN EN 10272 : 2001-01is used for hot and cold formed rods for pressure vessels. It is a fully austenitic steel, it is suitable for mirror finishing. By N-alloying higher strength, by higher Mo-addition higher corrosion resistance than 1.4406 particularly to non-oxidizing acids and halogenated media. Resistance to intercrystalline corrosion in delivery condition as well as in sensitized condition. The material shows higher resistance to selective attack than 1.4435 and it shows excellent limiting fatigue stress behaviour also under chemical loading. Furthermore favorable low-temperature ductility, therfore suitable in refrigeration.
